He is Executive Vice-president of the Barcelona Promotion Foundation (FBP) and member of the Executive Committee of the Turisme de Barcelona Consortium, set up in 1993 by Barcelona Municipal Council, the Barcelona Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Shipping, where he is Member of the Board, and the FBP. He is member and Past President (2011-2012) of the Rotary Club Barcelona Mar. Since 1988, he is Partner of Consultors i Advocats Associats Masia Ribera.[/su_expand]

He was born in Barcelona, 1957. Ph D in Law, lecturer at the University of Barcelona since 1982, Full Professor since 2003. Fellow: Spanish Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences since 1999. General Secretary (1989-1992) and Dean of the University of Barcelona Business School (1992-1998 and 2004-05). Director-general: University of Barcelona Institute for Life Long Learning (IL3 – UB) (2005-07). Member of the Governing Board of the University of Barcelona (2001-05). Chairperson: Legal and Tax Commission of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce (since 2010). Third Vice- president: Barcelona Chamber of Commerce (since 2013). Researcher on business tax problems. Director of the Seminar on Business Tax Law at the University of Barcelona. President of Pont Mestres, a Law firm established in Barcelona and Madrid, since 2008. Member of the Advisory Committee of the scientific review Impuestos (since 2008) and of the Editorial Committee of Difusión Jurídica y Temas de Actualidad S.A (since 2010). Member of the Advisory Board: Research Center for Applied Epistemology in Barcelona. President of the Francisco Ferrer y Guardia Foundation (since 1987) and President of the Magín Pont Mestres y Antonio Lancuentra Buerba Foundation (since 2008). [/su_expand]

He is President of the Executive Committee of the Barcelona Design Centre (BCD). Born in Barcelona in 1967. Founder and CEO of BPMO Group, since 2003 is Member of the Board of Raventos i Blanc wineries, and since 2004, Founder and Vice-president of Bartolozzi Foundation, aimed at promoting art and culture. [/su_expand]

He is the Chief Executive of the Institut d’Estudis Financers (IEF) in Barcelona, a financial training institute, which was founded in 1990 as an initiative of the largest Spanish banks and the Catalan government to provide specialized financial training to employees in the financial services industry. The Institute is the leading financial training provider in Spain. In addition to his responsibilities at IEF, he is Chairman of the European Financial Planning Association (EFPA) which he founded in 2000, and board director of EFPA Spain. He is also a board member of the Barcelona Financial Centre Association, of the European Bank Training Association (EBTN), and of several investment and money management firms as independent board director. [/su_expand]
