EU TRAINING PROGRAM FOR ADULTS

First Plus Europe [Get Informed] Workshop

The Get Informed project is an adult training program that consists of workshops on Europe. The main objective of this project is to promote knowledge about European Union, its institutions, its functioning and how the EU affects citizens’ daily lives.

The Plus Europe Association presents the Get Informed project, addressed to adult school students, with the aim of reducing the lack of knowledge and increasing the civic involvement and participation in European governance.

Project description

The Get Informed project is an adult training programme based on workshops on Europe. The main objective of it is to promote knowledge on the European Union, its institutions, its
functioning and how the EU affects citizens’ daily lives.

Target participants

This project is addressed to adult school students, but also to young people aged between 18 and 30 years old, who want to be volunteer trainers of these workshops. These volunteers will receive prior training from recognised experts who will provide them with the necessary tools to conduct the
workshops.

Background and justification

Last European Parliament elections in May 2014 reflected the disenchantment of citizens with the European question. The lack of knowledge of the European Union was put into evidence, quite the
opposite of the importance and the implication that this has on the lives of citizens.

That is why the Plus Europe Association, with the aim of reducing the lack of knowledge and increasing civic involvement and participation in European governance, raises the Get Informed project.
