First Plus Europe Get Informed workshop
The first edition of the Plus Europe Get Informed workshop took place on the 23th of March at the CFA Edèlia Hernández from Viladecans, Barcelona, Spain. Juan Blanco, Director of the Plus Europe Association, and the Plus Europe Youth Forum members Rita Giménez and Ana Lucía Olivos drove this session.

The Get Informed project is a training program that consists of workshops on Europe. Its main objective is to promote knowledge about European Union, its institutions, its functioning and how the EU affects citizens’ daily lives. It is addressed to adult school students, with the aim of reducing the lack of knowledge and increasing the civic involvement and participation in European governance.
This session was divided into two parts: one for the historical revision of the European integration process, taught by Juan Blanco, and the other one for a debate driven by Rita Giménez and Ana Lucía Olivos, when students took the floor to share its opinions on European issues.
Ramón Masià, President of the Plus Europe Association; as well as Rosa María Pros, from the Educational Planning Service for Secondary and High School Level of the Catalan Government and Montserrat Milian, from the Educational Planning Service for Adults, attended this first workshop. From the CFA Edèlia Hernández, were present during the activity the teachers Teo Navarro and Ana Serrano, Director of the centre.
Both attendants and Education Department officers, as well as the Plus Europe members, have shown its satisfaction with this first initiative, which remarked the importance and the implication that the EU has on the citizens’ lives.
